EAFF has adopted its 2010 Policy Master Plan

The objective of this plan is to guide all activities related to analysis policy, research, lobbying and advocacy for the period January 2010 to December 2010.

The plan outlines several agricultural policy issues that EAFF intends to address over the next 12 months. These areas were identified at various fora including the EAFF Master Plan Training Workshop (Nairobi, August 2009), and the 2nd EAFF Congress (Arusha, July 2009), among others.

The plan outlines various relevant activities for effective policy analysis, lobbying and advocacy work, such as research problem, policy analysis, the development of effective policy Papers/briefs/messages, validation of those policy positions, and policy tracking.

Then it describes activities pertaining to organizational strengthening of EAFF and the national farmer organizations. It also exposes activities pertaining to specific agricultural issues that are crosscutting and also relevant in most countries where EAFF has memberships.

This master plan also contains tables that detailed all the stakeholders of various activities and an activity schedule which highlights tentative timelines for the

various activities to be undertaken.
