PROPAC: strengthening the partnership with ECCAS

On 14 June 2017, a delegation of the Plateforme Sous-Régionale des organisations Paysannes d'Afrique Central (PROPAC) was received at the General Secretariat of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) in Libreville by the Deputy Secretary General in Charge of the Budget, Program, Administration and Human Resources Department (DPBARH).

The delegation, led by the President of the PROPAC, presented the conclusions of the two-day working sessions (12 and 13 June 2017) with the Agriculture and Rural Development Service, the Water and Energy Service and the Units in charge of Disaster Risk Management and Adaptation to Climate Change and Natural Resource Management.

The working sessions assessed the state of implementation of the partnership agreement signed with ECCAS on 14 March 2013 for the preparation, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of policies, programs and projects in the agricultural sector in Central Africa.

At the end of the audience, the Deputy Secretary General reaffirmed ECCAS's commitment to revitalize the partnership relations between the two regional institutions.
